The Explorer (Hiking)

After fueling up with an authentic Costa Rican meal, hop in our 4x4 safari vehicles and drive over 1,000 ft up the mountain to our private reserve. Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna and the incredible views of the ocean and Manuel Antonio. Native birds and animals are all around.

Over the next 2 to 2.5 hours you'll hike about 20 to 30 minutes on eco trails, riverbeds, and bridges across the river to a large 85-meter waterfall, see up to 10 smaller waterfalls, spot animals and birds, swim in 4 different natural pools, and cliff jump from as high as 9 meters (30 ft). Then it's back in the safari vehicles to base camp before we drop you back at your hotel. Round-trip transportation is included.

What to bring: your swimsuit under your clothes, ideally quick-drying clothes, and shoes that will stay on and will get wet. No flip flops! Slip-on water shoes are great as they tend to grip well in the water; tennis shoes and strap-on sandals are also a good choice. Camera, water, water shoes, bug spray, sunblock, towel, and extra clothes if you like.
